Have you heard of stories of nurses who were not allowed to enter the Pearson testing center because of unsigned passport?

One of my former students had this very sad experience. There was no testing center in Manila back then. And the slots for Hong kong were full. Together with another friend, they registered at Saipan. After many months of studying and saving up for the exam & trip expenses, they finally went there. They arrived a day before the Big Day. They went to the testing center and then toured the island after. The next day, they were all set for the exam. When the staff from Pearsonvue came to check on the ATT and passport, they found out that it was not signed by my student! She was able to leave the Philippines and boarded the plane. But no one noticed that she left her passport unsigned!!! She was not allowed to take the NCLEX. It was too late to sign the passport in front of the Pearsonvue staff. The rule was to sign your proof of identification before stepping into the testing center.
My student went back to her hotel in a daze. All the expenses forfeited! And not being able to take the exam. She has to come home and reschedule another exam. It was a tragic experience.

For Filipino nurses who wish to take the NCLEX, we are required to bring proof of identification along with the Authorization to Test (ATT). Our ID would be our passport. A signed passport! Make sure you do this before leaving your home. Check and double- check the little details that can make a big difference!
